1. Do you, as an organization, spend time at Vilas Beach?
- 2 respondents currently use the beach
- 1 does not use the beach at all

2. What influences your decision to use the beach or not use the beach?
- Factors that influence beach usage include: location, convenience,
other beaches closing while Vilas stays open, and the fact that it is
outside and is a natural setting.
- Factors that deter beach usage include: algae blooms, adult behaviors
(drinking, bathing nude, public displays of affection), and lack of
student interest.
3. How can information be organized so that it may be useful?
- Have it in a table format with what the normal range of numbers is
- It should be clear if the beach is open or not
- Indicate what the normal bacterial count is and what it is today
- Provide easy access to health issues
- Have the information on one page
- Use a simplistic format with multi-level and elementary language,
using simple and uncomplicated terms and clear instructions
- Have an easy web address and make the page easily accessible
- Every ethnicity should be represented
- Provide the information in Spanish and English
4. What are other ways that the information can be easily accessible and
useful for you?
- Any way that gets the information posted in a timely manner
- The WWW would be the best
- Have information tables at festivals, celebrations, and block parties.
- Provide information at the Boys and Girls Club and at African-American
churches in the area.
- Flyers that promote specific events
