The Study of Heredity

Begins with the fundamentals of gene structure and function, then moves into classical genetics including both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, and finishes with the genetic analysis of populations.  The primary course goal is to enhance and develop students' understanding and application of core genetic principles through problem-solving.

Prerequisites: BIO 151F5/152F5 and MATH 111; or consent of instructor; 4 credits.
