▪ Plant Diversity Explores advanced topics in botany, including surveys of the major plant groups, plant anatomy and physiology, an introduction to fungi and protists, and advanced topics in plant ecology. The instructional activities designed for this course enable students not only to hear about science, but also to engage in the scientific process. Laboratory investigations, small group discussions, and writing assignments play a central role in instruction. Lecture topics are linked to laboratory experiences. 4 credits.
